No More Junk Food

One of the best tips I can give you is to stop buying junk food. If you have junk food in your house, you’ll probably end up eating it. It will be sat in the fridge/cupboards tempting you all day. By not having it in the house, you get rid of that temptation.


Instead, look to buy healthy treats to snack on throughout the day. Things like fruit - fresh or dry- are a healthy thing for you to nibble on. All you have to do is plant them and wait for the fruit to grow. If you’re growing fruit at home, you’re much more likely to eat it. It’s a fab way to make sure you’re getting five a day and staying healthy.

Stair Workouts

If your house has stairs, you might think they only serve one purpose. You’ve probably only used your stairs to walk between floors in your house. But, you can turn your stairs into an epic workout! Start by running up the stairs as quick as you can then walking back down. Do this for about one minute as a warm up. Then, run up the stairs two at a time and walk back down. Do this for one minute, have 30 seconds rest, and then repeat it three more times. After you’ve done that, do some lunges up your stairs. Again, one minute of lunges, 30 seconds of rest, do it four times total. Then, finish off with the one more minute of running up them as fast as you can.


This is a great little workout that can be done anytime just using your stairs. If you have a spare few minutes, then you can easily squeeze this in. It’s great cardio, as well as being fantastic for toning and strengthening your legs. Just make sure you’re careful and don’t slip or fall!

Yoga is one of those things that’s just fantastic for people of all ages and physiques. There are some forms of yoga that will be a great calorie burner and improve your fitness. Or, you can do a more relaxing yoga that helps you stretch and improve flexibility. Yoga is great and can be done anywhere in the home, and at any time. I’d definitely recommend you fit some yoga into your daily routine, particularly if you’re training for a physical event.
