5 Things to do with kids in Margate, Kent

The seaside town of the South East attracts hundreds over the summer months - but what is there really to do whilst there, so we have listed 5 things to do with kids suitable for most times of the year.

Dreamland - Although the return of dreamland has not been as everyone thought it would be.
I still would say it's definitely deserves a visit, buying a wristband is so worth it! There is something for everyone, plus the food is pretty good and not too expensive.

The Beach - Seems obviously but the beach is really nice, a sandy beach which you don't get too many of around here really. Plus the summer time there has been a few 'rides' for children to play on (which you pay via tokens). For a cheaper day you could take a picnic and bucket and spade and spend the day there.

Strokes Adventure Golf - A great little golf course with 18 holes, tucked away right at the other end of the seafront it is a bit of a walk - but its along the beach so it's very enjoyable away from the traffic. Family tickets are only £14!

The Shell Grotto - Hidden away this lovely little treat is worth a little wander around if you have time. There is literally millions of shells stuck to the walls of the short trail. No one knows how they got there!

The amusement arcades - got some change in your back pocket, like many popular seaside towns. Margate is home to several amusements arcades, home to the 2p machines and those awful grabbers that you spend way too much on.
