A lot of people don’t realise that anyone who loves fitness can love fashion too. Here are some tips on how to wear gym clothes all day…Luckily for those of us who love

Go For Your Favourite Colours
The fact that you’re going to wear these clothes to the gym doesn’t mean that you immediately have to go for colours that you wouldn’t touch with a bargepole in other areas of your life. You might see people dressed in neons and strange patterns at the gym – you might even love those things yourself and relish the opportunity to go for patterns and colours that you might not usually be able to wear. But you can also select more muted tones, like grey, black, forest green, dark red and navy. Unless you’re cycling or running, you don’t need to be visible in the dark in your fitness clothes.
Get Your Occasions Right
Remember that even though sportswear and athleisure is very much in at the moment, there are still certain times when it isn’t quite appropriate. Even if you’re planning to go to the gym at lunch or after work, it probably isn’t a smart idea to wear your leggings and trainers to the office – unless you work somewhere sporty or so fashion focused that they’ll understand that you’re going for fashion and sportswear at the same time. Likewise, you can wear women’s leggings to brunch – but pair them with a nice sweatshirt and light makeup. Go for a slick of BB cream, mascara and a little eyebrow pencil for a bright, fresh-faced look that you won’t sweat off at the gym.

Go To The Gym At The End Of The Day
This might be entirely too obvious – but the fact that you can wear athletic clothes all day doesn’t mean that you should go to the gym and then spend the rest of the day in the same clothes that you did half an hour of cardio in. It is, of course, still important to make sure that you take a shower after you go to the gym and then throw on some clean clothes. But if you’re out and about all day before you go to the gym, or if you’re planning on going straight home afterwards, if you get stylish gym clothes you’ll be able to wear them all day too.
Pick Comfortable Fabrics
Remember that technology is getting better and better as time goes on. Pick fabrics for how comfortable they feel against your skin – you don’t need to go for uncomfortable spandex or strange slippery leggings. Instead pick clothes with great moisture wicking properties for when you’re in the gym and go for warm soft marl sweatshirts that you can wear over the sports bra and vest that you intend to wear to work out in.
