London’s Winter Wonderland

So the blog has been slightly neglected over December, but like normal if you follow on Instagram then you will know what has been going on - and me being me I like to share some more snaps on here too. So for the first time me and the usual victim of my adventures (who said friendship was dead lol) disappeared once again on the train to London however this time (for the first time like i said previously) we were heading to Winter Wonderland. I had booked a hotel that we have previously stayed in as it’s within walking distance to the station and we haven’t had problems with it.

So after checking in a short walk and a tube ride later we entered Hyde Park, you could see the night sky lit up with so many colourful lights. As we had a few things already booked we could use the fast entrance - which I didn’t know about until we over head a marshal say it to another person. (Which was handy as we would have been stuck in a queue for ages). First thing we had booked was the magic kingdom, which this years theme was Deep Sea Adventure. It is literally a walk through rooms of beautifully carved ice, it was truly stunning and even get your photo taken in the throne and get a cold bum slipping down a complete ice slide. What a giggle that was.

Next we went off to find the giant wheel, this was something I really wanted to try and do although I hate heights but I desperately wanted to see the sights and lights from up high - as people say it is amazing. Luckily we managed to get there before the queue got too big. I was not too keen on the rocking but they weren’t wrong about the views, it was wonderful.

Afterwards we went off exploring we had a laugh on the snow slide and admired the lights and music. The atmosphere was brilliant and actually it wasn’t too cold either. It wasn’t long before e retreated back to the hotel, for a good nights sleep and then in the morning we returned to check out the market stalls full with Christmassy goodies, which would make perfect gifts.

I would totally recommend checking out Winter Wonderland one year, and definitely book ahead for at least a few of the attractions because you can beat the queues. There is plenty of rides, and places to grab something to eat and drink but obviously like a lot of things it can end up being fairly pricey. So i would say eat before or after you go.
