A little addicted to Sex Education

Ok so I am not talking in some creepy pervy sense - Late to the hype once again, this weekend I decided to indulge in the latest Netflix series to be released 'Sex Education' staring Asa Butterfield as Otis a socially awkward high school virgin who lives with his sex therapist mother (Gillian Anderson). He teams up with 'whip-smart bad-girl' Maeve (Emma Mackey) to set up a clinic to deal with their fellow students' weird and wonderful problems.

I didn't think I would think much of the series but after the first episode I was hooked and disappeared into a pit of the other 7 episodes - I didn't even get out of my pjs that day. It's comedy attitudes and lightheartedness surrounded the important topics from virginity, abortion and the LGBT community to name a few. They really covered a bit of everything.

The only thing that really puts me off (but not enough to stop me watching if they bring out season 2) is you can't work out where & when it is set - it looks very 80s in style, but the technology and conversations suggest it is in current time. I believe it's also meant to be a British school however it seems very American in style with wearing their own clothes and the sports lettermen jackets.

But like I say... bring on the next season!
